These past couple weeks I have been debating the meaning of “love”. What does it really mean? How do you know when you love someone? Do fireworks shoot into the air, or does something just click? Is it even love we feel, or is it contentment? Could it be that love is an excuse to not be alone? You tell someone you love them because in your mind you have this idea that the person you are with wants to hear you utter those three words. Could it not be that we just tell the person this so that they remain happy? Do we lie to ourselves so we do not have to be alone in this world? Human nature is animal-is-tic if you think about it. Every human being only has one thing on their  mind, even the religious, and that is to reproduce. Some of us use sex as a one to fill that void of loneliness. So could it be that the only reason we tell someone we love them is so that we will not be lonely? Unless you meet every single person on the planet, how do you know whether you love that one person? Maybe that feeling you have is just contentment. That you are comfortable with what you have. Is it that none of us are in love, we are just content? Maybe instead of saying ‘I Love You’, we should say ’ I am content with you’.
